Red face Procedures

Hey all

My aim in the not to distant future would be to race my car, but beyond knowing I have to join the BRCA, what else do you have to get in place before you are allowed to race?

Such things as signing up for specific races...do you have to do that?

How do you know if your kit is BRCA legal... are there lists available of what allowed?

Any other stuff that is actualy really important that ou can see I clearly know nothing about (which is quite a lot in fact)?

Cheers!

as you already know you need to join the brca. a good list of clubs available and all the rules and regulations that are needed can be found at www.brca.org. if you cant find the information that you need there then ask on here for clubs that are close to you, go along for a look and ask the racers or club organiser what is needed as regards to cars radio equipment and batteries, just be aware that most people will buy what they think is best so you will get some conflicting information as to what brands to go for, if you have any other questions please feel free to pm

thanks

Right, all the info can be found at www.brca.org (ill get the cheque at the weekend paul)

The brca site will tell you how to join the BRCA, what the BRCA do and it also has a section for the Electric board (EB). This is where you will find out what batteries and motors are currently legal.

Regarding entering meetings the BRCA site will give you details on entering the national series.

oOple is a good source for information also on entering other meetings that are not affiliated with the brca.

Personally if i were you, i would just get ou there and race, you will learn so much more and quicker than you would just driving round cones in a carpark, Its more fun too

Is this racing at BRCA events? if its just club racing then a BRCA membership is enough, legal cells ect dont come into it if its just at a club.

Thanks guys, I did look over the BRCA site, but couldn't find distinct inf o of specific legal 'hardware', but that said, I'm sure I am right to think club level is the place to start before worrying about nationals etc...?

Cheers!
