Question Sand and Tiny Rocks Lodging in Spur

For the first time ever I had repeated issues with debri from the track entering the bodyshell and getting stuck in the spur. I was racing on a new astro track that had a few areas that were quite sandy and would cause over rotation in the corners when I'd go off the racing line, which in some areas was very narrow. (long sentence) I still managed 2nd overall though.

Are there any solutions to this. I'd hate to destroy a spur and pinion everytime I race there.

Thanks!

Btw: I used Losi BB pink in rear (27.5wt) and Associated Blue up front (37.5) and car was brilliant. Cut stag and worn Schuey yellows. Only 1 C4.1 beat me all day.

Yep! He was 1st in every race and I 2nd. Having changed to saddle I'm now on his tail quite a bit through the race. Same lap too at the finish. I feel like I'm giving him a race now.

I just go round with a pointy bit of metal and flick it out after each run. Takes about a minute. Its the pinion that seems to make the bigger difference. What with it being metal instead of plastic!

That's what I do, I use a hobby knife. I'm Gunna have to do some tinkering to see if I can make something out of all my spare lexan. Iv also ordered some long 10mm wide Velcro to go the whole length of the chassis and body shell.

Check out post 297 on here... http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ng-bar-20.html
And see if you can figure out how he did it.
Good luck.

The most recent car on the "Show me your X6" thread had a gear cover on too.

Can't quite work out what cover it is or how it's fixed. Looks plenty trimmed around the pinion end though.
