I'v got a mid-corner issue with the car. I can only give the slightest throttle input mid-corner without loosing most all of the steering input.
Buggy works brill on grass and fast outdoor astro. What do you change to get a little more mid-corner speed? I'd share my set-up but it's very similar to the set-up sheet on Xfactory for E's buggy. I'm also using the carbon chassis with a lightweight stick lipo but added 60g under battery to kinda act like saddle set-up. I'm on 3.5 rear toe. |

What front tyres are you using?

Worn yellow minispikes and new yellow slim cut staggered. I started out on fairly new rear tyres and they didn't give any rotation in the corner and actually gave me grip roll a few times so I cut everyother spike off on outside row. When I put on the worn it was a huge improvement. Hence why I also ran less rear toe to reduce rear grip a bit. On some cars there they were running 2deg rear toe. I also went from 27.5 oil rear to 30. Front was 37.5. Car was brill everywhere else.
What are the big adjustments for mid corner. I know diff and slipper are quite important but what other physical adjustments are ViP? |

That seems like very thick oil for the front. Is this just one part of a track that's difficult or is the whole track the same? You say it was brill everywhere else that's why I ask. It's not wise to tune for one specific part of a track to the detriment of everywhere else.

I was just reading through Xfactory's Oople forum here and I read that E's drives his car with hand brake like turns. Well, that's exactly how my car is handling. If I'm hard on the brakes into the corner my car turns in well and rotates the corner well too, but if I have to brake early and don't have that transition of weight from rear to front at the right moment I lose lots of steering going on throttle to get around the corner.

The hand brake approach is quite common with 2WD buggies and tends to be pretty quick, although perhaps less so with mid-motor.
Try lengthening the wheel base at the rear hub, this can have quite a dramatic affect on how easily the car rotates. Also if the front tyres simply aren't biting enough, try mini-spikes on the front, but these will wear quicker and be less consistent that the staggers. |
