Just what you have all been waiting for - club meetings are going indoors for the winter!

Fantastic news too - we are moving into the hall next door to the one we used last year.

I have booked the hall for one hour longer as we struggled with time at some of the meetings last year and there has been an increase in the prices as well.

There will be a change to the race fees as follows:

Members £6
Juniors £4
Non-members £8

Advantages:

1 Bigger track

2 Rostrum down the length of the hall so you are facing the width of the track and the stairs to the rostrum are just at the side of the pitting area

3 There is a covered area at the side of the hall which is the walkway but there is also room for some pitting

4 Regular racing - meetings nearly every week with the exception of the Chadderton dates

We are really looking forward to this. Everyone is ready to go indoors after the very poor summer and we intend to run some really good club meetings.

The container has been moved to the side of the tennis courts and where we parked before is no longer available so you need to go through the main car park at the sports centre and park in the spaces on the right hand side. The entrance to the new hallway is just inside the gates that you used to drive through.

Please get there on time so that you can all help to get the track into the hall and prepare a great track.

just checking is the 1st chadderton indoor still on the 21st?

if so see you all there with supplies of hot food will post menu nearer the time

Our first indoor club meeting is at Whitcliffe Mount Sports Centre and it is this Sunday - 7 October 2012 at 12 noon.

Are there any height barriers at whitcliffe like the ones at spenborough?.cannot get my van anywere near if there are

There is power - not sure how many sockets in the hall - may have to do quite a bit of sharing with extensions

couldnt make it today due to unforseen technical problems,(bloody transits!)hope everybody had a good race meeting.

Fantastic start to the Batley indoor season today. The new hall and rostrum position is great, and the track was really big.

I've got the 2wd A final on video, which is going onto you tube in a bit.
