I got one as a Christmas prezzy, had it built by Boxing day and ran it at one race meeting in the vintage class where it got totally and utterly hammered by everything else.
You know the saying that a road car can feel ok on the road and hopelessly out of its depth on a track? Well, I can tell you that the 'Shot is the RC equivalent of this in spades. It felt fine out on the street and in the park but on an indoor track it looked as comfortable as your granny would if she tried to breakdance. How the hell people raced them 23 years ago I have no idea (but then I was only spectating at the time as I couldn't afford anything better than a Tamiya Sand Rover, definately NOT a racer). Consequently my 'Shot has been cleaned off and put into hibernation for a while - I may bring it out one day, but not soon. |

We threw most of the kit away, just keeping the gearboxes and suspension arms, and built our own buggies with what was left. To be honest back then they weren't any more uncomfortable on the track as anything else available at the time and even the kit setup was a reasonably successful club racer.
