Default Help With Spektrum Issues Please

Hey Folks,

just looking for help/advice.

At the recent national at Kiddy i suffered from my spektrum glitching & then cutting out costing me loads of time during the heats, never mind the headache it caused me as well lol.

I tried changing receivers which improved the problem but not fix it

Also tried a power cap - no great effect

I had been turning the car on a gd couple of mins before turning my transmitter on, could this cause any problems? To my understanding you can turn the car on long before you ever turn on the transmitter.

On the sunday i tried standing the receiver on it's side & also only turning the car on after the transmitter was on & seemed to have no problems.

So now i'm still totally confused

Any help/advice is much appreciated

cheers
John

usualy adding the voltage regulator cap to the receiver is enough to cure all gremlins, if it hasn't, then if you bought it in the UK, phone or email Horizon (and it bugs me to say it) but they are a great help.

i had that a few times in the past, and it was the reciever losing it's bind on and off, and got progressively worse until it wouldn't bind at all.

...but as said, Horizon will be happy to help

yeah my pt is pretty close in both cars & the transmitter i'm using is the KO Esprit III Universe.

I did stand the the receiver on it's side in my XX-4 with the pt mounted on the rear shock tower. Standing it on it's side seemed to solve the problem, i'll try moving my pt in my xx-cr.

The weird thing is that at the club, which is indoors, i've had no problems & the 1st outdoor meeting i get problems lol

As you would see in my other thread, I have been having the same problem with mine, fine all winter indoors, get outdoors and it cuts out.

I never got down to what it was as it worked ok and didn't have a problem at the weekend at kiddy.

I measured the distance that mine was cutting out on the field across from my house, and it was cutting out between 55 -115ft away.
The kiddy track (as measured on google earth- not sure how accurate it, but it should be quite accurate) I measured at 85ft at it furthest point, so I was worried that it would do it again, but it didn't.

The only thing I changed was to a different transponder.
