Default Cheap lens (Nikon AF) 55-200 f/4-5.5 DC

Not a foto buff but this looks cheap to me if anybody has a nikon AF slr

Im sure somebody will say if its a good deal or not......

Arguably you could be forgiven for concluding that at that price you can't go wrong, and in relative terms you can't.

No personally, I wouldn't touch a Sigma lens that isn't an EX lens that has HSM focussing..... because at the end of the day, you do get what you pay for.

All that said, if you don't expect the world for that price, it should do you fine.

I bought a cheap Tamron lens the other week, and its fine for what I want it for.
There's no way I could afford a top line lens so have to stick with the cheaper option.

Like clarky says, if you know that what your buying isn't amazing and you know that you get what you pay for then thats fine.

That Sigma is the equivalent to the tamron I bought so should give you a reasonable comparison.
