Nah. It's pretty straight forward.
I do it for the shocks on my bike, rarely bother on the car as I've stocked up on sensible cst oils.

As long as you buy decent oil. i.e. From a manufacturer who actually measures (cst) rather than one who just makes stuff up to suit (weight).

And iirc it's almost a logarithmic scale, so easy to work out mixing ratios. Or you just use the link I posted. And it gets done for you.
