If discharge rate is the same (60/90c for example) the smaller battery will be slower. In theory.
It'll be lighter though, and most of the time, the batteries don't (or are physically incapable of) delivering the discharge rate quoted. And the limitation (at least in buggies) is most likely traction.
So the only way to really tell, is to try it.
A 100c 5a/h battery will in theory deliver 500 Amps down a 12AWG cable. In practice i reckon the cable would either desolder itself or vapourise the sheath and then melt in about 5 seconds..........
