IFMAR do try and implement chassis control, as they have to be nominated and marked before qualifying. A chassis is just a flat piece of material though, so there's nothing stopping a driver bolting on ready-built gearboxes or bulkheads if they have them to hand. You can't do much about it.

They do that at the EFRA European champs also. There is also a process to change the nominated and stickered chassis, if you say bend it.
