Ok, what I did with mine buy a servo extension lead, cut off one end and splice that into my charger - my charger connects via 4mm bullets so it was easy to do. Buy the balance lead too!

sounds like a nightmare to me
anything that involves cables or solder or any of that stuff usually means something blows up, ready made stuff would be ideal
