If the can is in pretty good condition, then you could replace the rotor with a Sintered version.

There are now 3 different versions of the sintered to choose from 12.5mm, 13mm and the original 14mm. From my understand the smaller rotor will deliver power smoother and there's less inertia braking. The reverse applies for the larger diameter rotors (more aggresive power band and stronger braking effect)
