Coming from someone who had to endure living with a GT3B (that's the only way I can describe it), I can't stress enough the importance of a good radio set. It's the one thing that connects you to your car, and besides ergonomics, the way you "feel" the car through your radio gear will change your understanding of what the car's doing.
Budget radios are good enough for learning the basics, but a good Tx/Rx combo will be one of the best investments you can make. Something like the Sanwa MT4, although several times the price of a GT3B, does genuinely feel several times better. The FlySky is hands down the worst radio set I've ever used - I'm aware that some bashers are fans of it because receivers are dirt cheap, but it's simply not cut out for racing duties - half of the functions it claims to have are either temperamental or non-existent. If you are deciding between that and the Absima, I would say the CR3P wins hands-down.
