I thought there were some cheap imitation Sky RC speedos around? I'm also pretty sure that the Hobbyking Turnigy speedos are not Sky RC ones, they may look the same but insides are different. From what I've seen (not used them myself yet) the Sky RC speedos are good, when my Vipers pack up I suspect that this will be the way I will go.
For motors I use Thunder Power, cheaper than the big brands and plenty quick enough and seem to stay cool.
