What chassis do you have? Xray use 38t front and rear pulleys with 20t centre but other manufacturers use 36, 39, 40t so INternal ratio or IR are different between manufacturers, End Bell Timing or EBT is additional timing that can be added to your motor by rotating the sensor plate on your motor, the D4 has -10 to +60 degrees of EBT (there will be a sweet spot) the higher the timing the lower the torque as a rule, in blinky you need to find the sweet spot to get power without over heating , so as I said 5 FDR and 40ish EBT on blinky is only a guide maybe to high or low for your track (trial and error but don't start at FDR 3 and 60* as this will likely destroy your motor/fingers and inflict injuries on others!
