I had the same issue with a Sanwa servo in mine. I used some servo spacers that I had in my box (I am an R/C horder). I found I needed to space it out 6mm. I like running an aluminium servo horn and space the ball accordingly.

I ran shorty rear at the Off road Wars at the weekend and the car was really good. I had the FAB installed, 7.5 degree yokes, kit 35wt oil rear and Losi 37.5wt oil front using kit pistons and springs and all settings as per the manual. Car was very consistent.
