I don't know what you mean Andy? My wiring is clean and in no way will it touch a belt or spur gear.

The speedo fan is a little close to a belt where i've mounted it, but its doesn't touch, and the gel tape will hold it securely.

I think you are just trying to put yourself of getting one to add to your collection ;-)
