Default Help with Speed Passion GT2 and hobbywing program card

Hi all.

Wonder if I could have some help regarding a Speed Passion GT2 and Hobbyking program box.

I updated the software recently on the ESC which has allowed turbo, turbo slope, rpm delay, turbo timing etc, but I am racing modified class 1/10 offroad buggies and am pretty sure this software is for stock class and basically has too many programmable parameters. I run 7.5 motors which are plenty quick enough without all of the above.

I can program the ESC via plugging the program box into a laptop and the ESC into the program box, but I can't get the box on its own to program or recognise the ESC - it keeps saying wrong software.

I would really appreciate some idiot advice on which software to run on the ESC and program card that is most appropriate for 1/10 offroad modified motors which will allow the box to talk to the ESC.

I have been on the hobbywing and Speed Passion websites but the amount of downloads are pretty confusing. It's a bit more complicated than it was in the early 90's!

Thank you.
