At southport we run a 10.5 class everyone who races it enjoys the close racing, at the moment we allow any 10.5 motor and generally find the speed quite close. getting the correct gearing for your motor is important and it does differ between different makes. Also along with the motor everyone has to use the same type of tyre, in our case schueey yellow blocks, the main idea is that both power and available grip are equal. Iis a fun class(but then they should all be) , oh and we also run modified races on the same day and usually find that the top stock runners can match the race times of the modifieds. (you do learn your lines better at a more sedate pace, deffo better for newer racers).
