HB and HPI are in effect the sae company, just 'different' brands, the HPI aim is the fun market where the HB is racing is how I see it.
As for the chassis, material isn't important, rigidity and ability to resist tweaking is very important, I am not sure, as not looked closely, but would hope that the chassis is either sufficiently braced or creased along the length to give longitudinal stiffness, and that the fron kick-up area is braced to stop the front plate bending backwards on impact, if this is the case and they have managed to keep the weight down, then it is an ideal situation, then all you got to fret about is whether it suits your driving style....
