I ran the spacers for the first time this weekend at the Mid-South regional at Herts. The weather was difficult and track conditions were slick in places and dry in others.
While I'm a distinctly under average level of racer, the car felt so much easier to control and guide round fast sweeping corners, while also rapid to bring round the very tight hair pin style ones. The car felt faster than ever before (been using it since release) and I felt incredibly comfortable using it.
I had read this thread before I went, seeing 1mm being the benchmark used and 5.5mm being the upper extreme, and I opted for 2mm. My reason for doing this, is as a fairly new driver I like to make changes that I can feel the difference and then guide back for tuning. However I stuck with the 2mm all day and never thought twice about it. I ran no spacers in the front.
Results wise I went up a final from the last regional at Silverstone (about 8 places), so I would definitely recommend trying this tuning option.
