We race buggies indoors at our club now and currently run on prima felt gt carpet. Now at the moment we only allow Mini spikes or spikes as it is felt by the committee that Mini-pins would fluff the carpet up by pulling out the fibres from the carpet.

Personally i don't think this is correct with the current breed of primafelt although it might have been true with older types of the carpet.

What I am asking are their any clubs who have been running mini-pins on primafelt gt carpet for a long period of time and have they noticed any damage to the carpet? I would like to know as I am trying to pass this with our committee to allow us to run this type of tyre as the minispikes are bald after about two nights of racing.
