thanks jimmy, that made a big difference, i used 1/1000 and the F was set to automatic ( Nikon 5700, i hate it but my wife would kill me if i got a D70, will have to wait for x-mas
) Had sun for most of the day, but this is one of the shots when the sun was covered by a cloud.
