yes they are adjustable...before you start use a tray to work on as lots of small inside(parts\balls)and if you drop one its caught in the tray,use tweezers on the balls
diff lube(AE or Schumacher) on the balls (tiny amount on each ball) black (moly) grease on the thrust race
there are some general diff building tips on YouTube, and use the exploded diagram for help on re-assembly
you can turn the diff rings over if they haven't been done already if there that bad, until you get some new ones
you only need to rebuild them if they are dry or grating
