ok thanks for the info, Im still a newbie, only just last saturday did my first race meeting with a micro, hardly ripping it up and the motor was only 47 degrees at the end of 5 minutes LOL, so I didnt think the fan is needed on the ESC, at the moment

its deffo the 35A version, and its got a big black heatshrink wrapped board thing, couple of capacitors and some other bits in there.
I assume this is to give the ESC some punch, might try without it as its only a micro.
