The problem with the kyosho is that you have to set the pinion really tight against the spur (more than on a b4). If you don't your pinion will eat up the spur, because of the chassis flex I think. If you take your car and twist the chassis you can see the spur moving in comparison to the pinion gear, at least on my car it is.

Graphite top deck fixed the chassis flex problem.
