Despite the jumps looking a bit mental the track was actually quite good today - vastly prefered it to the last national.

Some suggestions - forgo scrutineering! Or do it at booking in only. Get someone (or shared among decent drivers) to referee instead. I was starting to lap people on my second lap in qualifying, and it was like a Worlds A main - not letting me past without a fight!

I was trying a new car (possibly the first time the car has raced at a UK National?) and I'd never driven it before. I was trying lots of stuff out but I couldn't even have 1 lap before the race started to get used to the changes. Anyone with a complaint should have started behind me as i set off and spun out on the first corner - causing an 'incident' because I'd not been allowed to practice (get used to it). I've not really any recollection of a race where drivers don't get a few corners to test the car.

Just a couple of ideas - enjoyed the racing today even though I was a bit under pressure to get the car working
