You need a bit of luck really ..

I was part of the Mendip RC Raceway team that built the new off road track there.

After a bit of hunting with no real joy we were tipped off that a local collage was replacing their enormous hockey pitch/pitches with new stuff. The upshot of which was that as along as we got the stuff taken away, think it was around £200 for a big truck, which took 2 loads, with hi-ab then the astro was free.

As far as I can gather, all astro has to be recycled at a huge cost, so companies contracted to remove astro are often happy for peeps to come along and take it away, actually saves them money ...
