i ran 2 GTB's last year with no problem. I think the footprint on the novak isn't too different to the LRP/nosram, it's mainly the height with the heatsink that causes problems under some snug fitting shells.
As Mike said the LRP's do have a few more punch settings to tinker with, but if your thumbs work as they should you don't need punch settings!!
I think the GTB's are a little more reliable from experience in my region. I've seen quite a few LRP speedo and especially motors pack up at the first sign of water.
the wiring on the GTB is a bit of a pain admittedly, as wires come out of both ends unlike the LRP.
Mainly just depends if you have the budget for the LRP or not.
