We've run a few meetings with the gear diff in our B5M with 3K Team Ass. oil. I opened the case yesterday with the intention of going thicker as the inside wheel is diffing out more than I'd like. I was surprised to find the same result - everything in the gearbox coated with oil. Fill level as per instructions - top of cross pins.

I built the diff correctly I thought, and Andrew's report suggests it's a common feature. Cars are running hot on outside tracks at the moment with this nice weather, and I wonder if the relatively thin 3K oil is not helping. Anyway I've used 10K now and we'll try that at the weekend (outside astro).

I've noticed that even after spilling what looks a lot of oil, the diff felt very similar to when it was full. So maybe using slightly less oil is key.

Let's hear some advice from SC10 gear diff users - I think the diffs are the same design.
