Has anybody else had this issue where the receiver's range suddenly drops to about 10-15 feet making it useless
Now had 3 do this to me.
First 2 went back to SMD and were replaced for a small fee (great service by the way
) with the diagnosis being damaged co-ax in the aerials.
So, another one goes yesterday. I'm thinking this has to be the aerial so I open the case, unplug the aerial & test it with a multimeter. Continuity (beep test) & resistance are fine on both parts - co-ax & sheath indicating the aerial is unbroken inside & no amount of wiggling will change that
Re-fitted, still no range
I know loads of people with these receivers & no-one else seems to have had this issue...
