Yes Yorcc 540 series is great fun racing. I'll be running one of my classic RC10's in the series when is begins again.
Not sure where you'll race TC locally,
Halifax,
SYR near Sheffield does, as does
Doncaster, Swifts raceway, also
CARS in Chesterfield.
GT12 racing also occurs at a club in Halifax

GT12 is great fun and close racing. it's still a money game however, "cheap" setups don't win.
