Or are they really the vented caps (filled through the vent ?) to avoid excess air with the emulsion O ring in place - In which case it would make more sense to tick both Vented AND Emulsion boxes on the set up sheet ?!?

Emulsion socks are cut diaphragm or oring, with kit tops or the vented/bleeder tops. The small screw aids bleeding and is not for filling
