I did it for a while, while i was (fairly) regularly changing motors.
Meant i didn't have to muck around soldering at the club.
Now i'm better (relatively) at soldering, and pretty much decided on what motors to use, i've gone to direct wired. Only time i'll need to solder is if i pop a motor.
BTW, plugs can be knocked loose if they aren't pretty tight. Like my Speed Passion V3 connectors, they used to pop out pretty regularly. 5 seconds with a pair of pliers fixed that.
Also, if you have inline connectors, remember to heatshrink them so they don't short out on other stuff in the car, or each other.
