Just out of interest... What touring car was it and what was wrong with it apart from the screws being US? Was it new? What do you mean they had no life in them?
Faulty charger can happen. It's a pain but how did they react after you told them it was faulty? (I don't think they intentionally sold you something faulty... that would be kinda stupid for a shop
)
What exactly did they rewire? The whole controller including the wires on the circuit board or just initial setup?
