I was in the same position as you just before Christmas. I stopped racing back in 1992/93. I have chosen to go with a Schumacher Kf / Speed Passion / Savox set up with Sanwa radio gear. The thing i have noticed most is how it always use to feel more like turn up and drive where as now the cars are so adjustable mechanically and electronically the set up is absolutely key! So as per the previous comment i would go with a set up you know people at your local club will be able to help with, as it makes all the difference having some help. oh and if you can afford it and you know its not just a passing fancy get the best kit you can afford as your just going to end up replacing it.
