I've known people to have that problem, but not on your scale. You are doing something wrong. Rebuild the diff with new balls and plates, a new thrust race and bolt. Adjusted properly (ask someone if you are unsure) it should last several meetings without attention (rebuild when it feels gritty and course). Always replace the thrust race and bolt(they are only cheap) when you have used both sides of the plates.
