Yeh Danny is right, however, help is at hand! Have a look on an auction web site and search for lipo alarm.. Very cheap and reliable usually, it will let you know when the cells are getting near the safe cut off limit... Lipo don't like to go below @3v per cell, so in an average 2 cell(7.4v)the safe cut off is @6v.. An average lipo peaks out at around 8.4v max..

An average 13.5 BL motor will be around 3000-4000 rpm per volt(kva rating)so running on an average 7.4v lipo you should expect a no-load rpm of 7.4 x 3 - 4000rpm which is about 22000 - 30000rpm... I don't know how this compares with your 15t brushed but it used to be a 10.5 BL motor was about the same as a 19t brushed..

On a slightly different note, a mainstream brand I.e. Durango, associated, yokomo etc may be a better option if the quality of your ecx is in question?
