Cut away the inside tire bead slot with a Dremel, scalpel or something else sharp or abrasive - do make sure you don't cut away both ribs on the inside, only the innermost one plus the flat part between the inside tire bead ribs. The resulting rim has a similar width to the cut stagger tire.

The inside tire bead is then glued onto the flat center part of the rim, with the inside edge of the tire bead hugging the 'new' innermost rib.
