Unless you go trekking, hiking etc and ALSO have extremely limited space in your car then a mountain style tent like above is fine but they are small and light for a reason.
if you want a tent purely for when you go racing etc then id look at pop ups etc, really no point spending £200 on a mountain tent Just for racing.
I used a quecha 4 person pop up for the weeks i was away working at the Olympics, stayed perfectly dry all the way through and was comfortable.
