Hi graham. I think an 8th electric based off the scte would be great. The sizes are very similar when you sit them side by side. You would need to do something with the front bumper, wheels and hexes, shell and wing.
Its something that the yanks have started doing to suit the smaller indoor tracks and i think it will be great for the open class at coastal and for thrasing around our local tracks
