Not quite. Fully discharge it first! Then dump it in the salty water. Preferably at the top of the garden.

When fully discharged like this you should be able to dispose of in the normal rubbish. But if you want to check with your local authority recyclers then do that also.

I did one last week. Discharged to 3v at about 0.5A on the charger. Then took the rest out using a load. The brca lipo guru recommended using a bulb for the final discharge. I only had a 2ohm load available at the time, but that worked fine.
