Does look good Nigel! I like your method for fitting the saddle packs - i'm intending to do something similar but for a shorty LiPo (so I can use my existing batteries) & poss build in some sort of adjustability fore & aft?
I reckon an 8.5 is about right - but a slipper clutch has got to be a must to save the main belt from slipping - brushless motors provide more torque rather than necessarily more outright speed which is what we need to protect out transmission from.
P.S; think I need to find myself a set of small bore Cat SX shocks also!
