I quite liked the straight in front of the rostrum. There are obvious safety issues with having cars run full pelt towards the pits but the issue was addressed by putting those mini chicanes at either end of it. The tight corner followed by a small chicane coming onto that straight meant that you couldn't simply apply full throttle as you exited the hairpin and the chicane at the end did force people to hit the brakes unless really brave. By putting it on the inside, drivers were forced wide before tuning making them take the proper line.
No track design is ever going to please everybody but I do think track designs should be run/tested before changes are made. Its really easy to break a long wide straight up with a couple of chicanes after the first round if we need to.

I'm not saying it's not fun going flat out Under your feet,what isn't fun is when your car has been smashed into because the person come down the straight can't see it!i was sat watching all night,a lot said it was fun going all the way from the top corner,flat out all the way round to the other end of the hall,but it went very wrong to a few cars and they ended up in the pits,but it's all about listening to what works safely and 99% of the time it works well,
