1.best advice get to a local club (one you think you could enjoy being a member of
2. see what popular at that club
3 see what your local model shop supports (if you are lucky enough to have one)

ask the locals they usually are friendly folk each will have their own favourite drive

all current brands are more than capable

2wd can be a bit cheaper to run than 4wd on high grip carpet or astro it tends to be more popular now than 4wd

your returning after a few years off and it sounds like you know what you were doing before so its evolution for you not revolution

keep reading this site and look out for sales its not always neccesary to buy new
