personally i'm split 50/50 on this.

4wd brushless just cos i got fed up with skimming and re-brushing every other race

2wd i cant justify the expense of a whole new brushless setup when my last checkpoint lasted 1.5 seasons and only had 2 new sets of brushes in its lifetime. I have 3 brushed speedos and the motor gets a skim once / twice a meeting max depending how comitted i am at the time so £180 for the brushless or £60 for a replacement brushed motor with brushes i know i'd rather have the extra £120 for tires and beer.

If i was starting from scratch there is very little difference in initial cost but i would choose brushless purely so i dont need the extra expense of a lathe and brushes.
