I had this problem at West Bridgford last Saturday. Just checked the wheels on the off chance and the rear left was loose so I tightened it up. The same wheel came off mid race. Didn't realise it until I got home and cleaned the car up that the hex on the wheel had rounded so I can only think that it had rounded slightly when it was loose and then in the race after it finished it off.
The amount of drive the car produces on high grip tracks is immense. From now on I'll check them after every race.
By the way I use serated wheel nuts aswell.
