I feel a lighter car is more nimble and faster to change direction. A heavy car is slow and sluggish, but safe(r).
I've not run the bmax 2 as a rear motor, but on dirt/clay I much prefer my b4.1 with a shorty and esc mounted in the space behind, than with a full length stick pack. I'd go shorty myself.
