Im sure you could smoothen out how it puts the power down. I run 5.5t tekin motor with tekin esc. These are known to be very aggressive, but with some expo on the throttle and a mild punch setting its real smooth and easy to drive.
I'd first try playing with settings.
Few things to try;-
Increasing timing on the can should soften the bottom end a little while giving it more top end.
Puch setting on esc (current limit its called on mine)
Exponential throttle curve on transmitter or esc too to soften the bottom end.
I'd be shocked if you cant make it much easier to drive with a combination of setting changes
