My V1 chassis is the same as the one to the right in your picture with a lower step, in fact I have had two other V1 chassis and both were the lower type. Until I bought my 2.0 I had not seen that version of the chassis - the one on the left in your picture - so thought it was a change coming with the 2.0 but it sounds like it may have been a running change to the V1?
